Volunteering at Morden College

Volunteering at Morden College will be a positive and enriching experience for all, where volunteers know they are making a difference within the Charity. We want volunteering to support, complement and enhance the work of our staff to better enable beneficiaries to live their lives to the fullest.

We commit to ensuring volunteers feel valued, well informed and provided with the necessary support and resources to support the Charity. Each volunteer will understand their role and their impact at Morden College.

“I really appreciate the support and kindness and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the voluntary service.”

Values

Volunteering at Morden College will be based on enabling and empowering, and not doing for. We will respect the wishes of beneficiaries, who will play a main role in determining how volunteering can enrich their lives. We will be creative and bold in accepting new ideas, and always caring in our approach. The diversity of volunteers we seek to engage will help us bring new and fresh perspectives to volunteering at Morden College.

Something For Everyone

We have a range of volunteering opportunities to suit individual interests and experiences. Whether you are looking to volunteer from home, take part in a one-off volunteering opportunity or become a regular presence in the Morden College community, we would love to hear from you.

Training

We pride ourselves on delivering a diverse training programme. We are dedicated to equipping our volunteers with the knowledge and skills to carry out their responsibilities to the highest standards. We want our training programme to boost volunteers’ confidence, to provide a creative and safe space for learning and growing, and to leave volunteers with skills which will benefit them both now and in the future.

Application Process

Interested volunteers are asked to complete a Volunteer Application Form. Some roles may require a DBS check but this will be detailed in the volunteer advert.

For an application form or to find out more, please email volunteering@mordencollege.org.uk.
