Title: Bank Healthcare Assistant (Nights) (Ref: 0417/23)

Hours: Casual Hours Contract Variety of night shifts available, Monday to Sunday

Salary: £10.77 hour

Location: Blackheath, London

Summary:

Are you able to support older people to live full and satisfying lives? If so, we want you to come and work at our Care Home.

To join the Bank List you’ll ideally have experience of working with older people or other vulnerable people (paid or voluntary), have a person-centred approach and be able to work as a member of a team to support our residents. However a cheerful, sunny nature, flexible approach, enthusiasm, commitment and imagination are valued as much at Morden College.

You will be friendly, approachable and caring with good communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. Some practical healthcare experience and the ability to deliver planned care are essential as well as being able to work well in a team. Having a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is required if you are wanting to join our Care Department.

Summary:

We are looking for Housekeeping General Assistants who have 5* standards and are used to working in a very small team. These roles will be working in our 60-bed care home which has impeccably high standards and is now looking for staff who are willing to give 100% and ensure perfection every time in the cleanliness of resident’s rooms and all areas of the care home.

We are also interested in receiving applications from people wanting to work for us on a casual basis by joining our Bank Staff List.

The ideal candidates for these roles include having very high cleaning standards, being quick and efficient as well as having very good communication skills. Candidates should also like working with residents in a care home for older people. It is essential to have experience of cleaning to be considered for these roles with experience gained in a healthcare environment being an advantage.

That means we don’t want just another professional chef, we want someone special.

To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about food, eager to learn and committed to giving the highest standards of customer service. You will also need to have experience of working in a busy catering environment or food production operation as well as professional cookery skills and a Level 2 Award in Food Safety qualification. The ability to work within a team in our fast moving environment is also essential as well as having the ability to prepare food to order whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations at all times.
